Carl's '31

This car was in a trailer when it flipped on to its side. Our shop also works with your insurance company, when accidents such as this occur.

The car was damaged on about every corner. The deck was mangled, fenders and splash aprons were broken, wheels bent, roof mashed. It had been on a bad ride.

While in for repairs, we will be giving it some updates. Windshield wipers, new deck supports, reworking the deck hinges, emergency brakes, a new pearl color ( with more ghost flames), etc.

This is the roof. It was damaged on both sides, but mostly the passenger side.

Roof during metal work.

All the fenders had damage. Some were broken in half.

The deck had damage to the inner shell as well.

We had to reinforce the inner shell and improve on the hinge design. It was too flexy.

The old paint was twenty plus years old. After primer, we found it was not sticking to the outside of the hood.  So, we stripped it to the metal.

This is showing the gaps at the deck.  We worked the gaps over to keep from chipping the paint.

This is spray poly (not primer yet)

We primed  the car in PPG primer. We did the whole car because we are doing a color change.

 Going back togethere.

Shes done. Thanks Carl. See you at the shows.
